Timebinding: In 1962, members of Apex, a secret apa, addressed a remark to imagined fanhistorians:
Fanhistorians fifty years in the future, reading this, should realize that we don’t all hate Bruce Pelz.In 1985, I wrote a letter addressed equally to the future, and to that 1962 APEX mailing. It was later incorporated into Over Rough Terrain, and reprinted in Making Book.
In 2012, Mark Plummer wrote an article about my piece (which he lucidly and entirely comprehended), and in the process revealed himself to be that fanhistorian Apex had imagined fifty years in the past.
