Oddly, it still marks itself as 318 viewings even after I've watched it (and gone away, and returned a half hour later). I wonder about their counter system?

Don't know the fellow, though.

It probably makes an awful, awful person.

It's at 497 for me (and cheesiest quotes is at 2,913,484).

I suspect they do some sort of batching of updates, so every so often the counters will get incremented by the last 15 minutes' or hour's worth of views.

Needless to say, I didn't recognize the culprit.

Welcome to Making Light, Steve.

I write about New Hampshire issues from time to time, and ... we write about a lot of things that involve publishing, the Internet, politics, and other stuff. Please, look around.

Do you happen to write poetry?

comment from Steve Young on 14.Dec.10

No poetry from me!
I am a reluctant writer that prefers photography.

Our "News Site" started in March 2007 the intent was to show that Londonderry is the best place to live work and play. Sometimes (a lot of times) the news includes the bad stuff. At least in NH most of the time the good guys win.

As far as publishing we are at 4,800 stories today.

I don't know why but I get the feeling you may be interested in a guy in our town that makes Mead.

http://www.londonderrynh.net/?tag=new-england-mead

Could be the "poetry question" his naming technique is to appeal to the sensual side of women.
No news yet on the perp, it will be in the police logs when they catch him. We publish those each week with all the detail. This week we had someone calling because a hunter was "hunting for children"

Sometimes it just takes time.

We have one columnist that has done some food stories, a personal chef less often than our readers would like.
