         <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Meanwhile, I always feel odd voting in these things, because while I read a good deal, little of what I read is current to the past year, and almost all of it is novel-length.</p>

<p>Nonetheless...the four books that I read that were eligible have received votes, as have several editors whose work I've enjoyed in the past year.</p>]]>
